One of the best “first steps” is To attend a free informational seminar. To obtain dates for Dr. Minkin’s seminars see the ‘2009 seminar schedule’ page on this site. (there are other surgeons now giving seminars through the Des Peres hospital program so make sure you are given a date for one of Dr. Minkin’s seminars. these are typically always on the Des Peres hospital campus which gives you an opportunity to visit the hospital where you will be having all of your pre-op tests and ultimately, your Lap-Band surgery.)
